Background:

Ms. Baber began her real estate career in 1980 as a secretary at Kinsey-Perdue-McCall, Inc., a real estate appraisal and consulting company. Over her eight years with the company she was promoted to Office Manager and trained as a real estate appraiser. 

In 1988 she was employed as a Senior Appraiser at the Office of Real Estate Assessments at Chesterfield County, Virginia. Responsible for appraising and maintaining current information on approximately 6,000 parcels, she gained experience in communicating with a wide variety of property owners and their representatives. 

In 1996 she was employed as a Right of Way Technician at Knight Dorin & Rountrey. She was promoted to Technician Supervisor in 1999 and Director of Technical Services for KDR Real Estate Services, Inc. in 2002. 

Experience:

During her employment with Knight Dorin & Rountrey, and subsequently KDR Real Estate Services, Ms. Baber has been exposed to all facets of the right of way acquisition process including marking construction plans, preparing centerline descriptions, preparing and organizing negotiation packets for the Right of Way Specialists, maintaining tracking reports for weekly distribution, and reviewing final negotiation reports. She is responsible for the closing process, which includes obtaining partial releases on legally encumbered properties, overseeing title examinations, and coordinating the distribution of proceeds and obtainment of executed deeds and easement agreements. She was instrumental in designing the company Right of Way Agent’s manual, a comprehensive procedural reference guide that has been invaluable to our Right of Way Specialists.
